We have found that betting the halftime lines of a NFL game is very profitable if done right. There are several things you must do to put the odds in your favor. The same works the other way, if a game is way over and you picked it to go under but a couple interceptions or fumbles were returned for touchdowns put it over. In both these situations your original bet of over or under is the right pick in the second half because it is very unusual to have that many turnovers again.

The score is another factor in second half betting. If there is a blowout in the first half, this can greatly affect the second half bet. Most teams do not run up the score on other teams and play their reserves. A lot of times you are betting on the reserves of the leading team against the first string of the losing team. In the fourth quarter there is a good chance both teams will have their second string in.

The last thing to take into affect is the weather and field conditions. This also is a double edged sword. If you see the weather getting worse as the game goes on then you have to bet accordingly. This is also true if the weather is getting better and the field is in good condition. Then weather may not be a factor but the line may reflect it is. In this case there may be a low under but you know the players are not slipping and will be able to score.

I have given you many things to look for at half to tilt the odds in your favor. A lot of times the scenarios listed above do not happen or are minor enough to let you to bet the second half depending on your prediction before the game. If your predictions are correct great make you bet. If you predicted the game wrong make your adjustment and bet accordingly. Always remember that if you are not confident in the second half bet do not make it. The point is to get odds in your favor and if they are not, lay off this time.

Steelers Continue Dominance Of Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been playing the Cleveland Browns for longer than any other team in the National Football League, dating back to 1950. And while it hasn’t been quite that long since the Cleveland Browns won a game against the Steelers it may be starting to feel like it. On Sunday, Pittsburgh won for the twelfth straight time dating back to 2003 as they topped Cleveland by a final score of 27-13.

The good news for NFL betting enthusiasts who took the +13′ with the Browns as a road underdog is that they managed to cover the pointspread by the slimmest of possible margins. Betting against the defending Superbowl champion is a long standing handicapping concept, and this season at least its worked like a charm-the Steelers have only covered one of their first six games. Cleveland, meanwhile, evened their NFL pointspread record at 3-3 on the season. The Browns have covered three straight after dropping their first three both straight up and against the spread.

Pittsburgh dominated the game in virtually every statistical category. They amassed 28 first downs to 12 for Cleveland, held a 543 to 197 total yardage advantage and a 36:46 to 23:14 time of possession advantage. Both teams turned the ball over four times, and the Steelers led only 17-14 in the third quarter. Most of the post game talk from both sides was about a controversial spot in the first half where the Steelers were given a first down on a short yardage play when it appeared that they didn’t make the required yardage.

After the contest, Derek Anderson spoke of the frustration of continually coming up short against the Steelers. The Browns have only one once in ten games since Pittsburgh moved into their new home at Heinz Field:

“We’re not trying to lose every time we go out here. We put tons of hours in and … it’s frustrating. Every single week, it’s frustrating.”

Steelers’ tight end Heath Miller said the team is happy to be where they are at this point despite not playing up to their standards:

The Steelers will host Brett Favre and the 6-0 Minnesota Vikings next Sunday. After a bye week, the Steelers will hit the road to play another undefeated team as they take on the Denver Broncos on Monday, November 9. Cleveland will host the Green Bay Packers this Sunda. They’ll head to ‘The Windy City’ to face the Chicago Bears the following Sunday and then have a bye week.

Romo Shines As Cowboys Top Falcons

Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo has been plagued by inconsistency over the past two seasons, but on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons he was in top form. Romo threw for 311 yards and 3 touchdowns with no interceptions as Dallas ripped the visiting Falcons by a final score of 37-21. Backup receiver Miles Austin had another solid game in place of injured starter Roy Williams, with 171 yards receiving and two touchdown grabs. Both teams are now 4-2 on the NFL season.

NFL betting enthusiasts who backed Dallas as -5′ home favorite were rewarded with a pointspread victory. The Cowboys evened their mark against the NFL pointspread at 3-3, while Atlanta slipped to 4-2 against the number.

“It’s frustrating because we feel we can play better.”

Atlanta has a difficult road challenge ahead as they travel south to face the red hot New Orleans Saints next Monday night. The Falcons have been installed as +10 road underdogs with the total set at 54. They’ll host the struggling Washington Redskins the following Sunday before traveling to Charlotte, NC to face the Carolina Panthers on November 15. Dallas will host the Seattle Seahawks this weekend, with the Cowboys a -9′ home favorite and the total set at 45. They’ll play on the road the following two Sundays against the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers.

It’s been at least a year now since you came to your new work place and officially took over your new office. At first, you were busy decorating a new home and learning a new job, but now that you’re settled in you start noticing again the same things that you noticed when you first took over your office.

The walls are a boring, drab colour and looking decidedly depressing, the sun streaming in through the heavy duty blinds is decidedly dingy and the furniture is just about as grotty and plain as it can get. Of course, before you begin it’s always a good idea to make certain that the powers that be won’t have any objections to your redecoration plans. And remember that it is only an office and so you should treat your decorating plans as such.

Painting the walls a snazzy red colour possibly might not work. However, you could brighten things up a bit by repainting the walls a bright and airy colour that won’t be an eyesore to anyone, least of all you. Then you could always take down those ancient blinds that have been hanging there since the early 1980′s and replace them with something more pleasing and modern.

On the other hand, if the whole of the office is decorated in the same style with the same blinds hanging on every window, your a la mode changes might not be appreciated by your colleagues. So, think twice before doing something drastic that changes the whole style and atmosphere of the entire office.

These also work well, and will show your colleagues a different side of you. Don’t get stressed out over anything though. You really don’t need a simple redecorating project to add to the rest of your worries and besides an office decorating project should be fun and stress free.

Remember, your office decorating project should not involve your upsetting the whole office, or yourself. It should be something that you can live with on a daily basis.

After all, you spend a lot of the day at your office, it should be a place where you can be just as at ease as you are in your own home.
